Rafael Carneiro

Born in São Paulo in 1985, Rafael Carneiro graduated from the School of Fine Arts of the University of São Paulo in 2006. Having won two awards, he presented his first solo exhibition at the Artur Fidalgo Gallery in Rio de Janeiro in 2008. Rafael Carneiro's paintings have now been included in Brazilian public collections and numerous private collections, including the Banco Santander Brasil S/A collection in São Paulo. His work is represented by Luciana Brito Galeria in São Paulo. The painter is recognized on the international contemporary art scene. Alongside the São Paulo painters of his generation, including Marina Rheingantz and Lucas Arruda, Rafael Carneiro has become an essential reference for younger Brazilian artists. His paintings captivate for their narrative richness, technical mastery and the vitality of his colorful compositions.
